Writing down my thoughts once ince a while

Update: PRO100/S

I found out something by mistake today. I was installing Kubuntu Feisty on my dad’s laptop and I pulled a list of installed packages on my desktop system, so I know I won’t forget to install anything. I found ethtool in the list and just out of curiosity I went and tested it. Reading ethtool --help I immediately saw the {-k|-K} switch that allows you to get/set protocol offload. Exactly the tool I was looking for when my network card started going haywire. But it’s a little late now. I’ve already set up the init scripts to initialize MAC spoofing, a firewall and NAT altogether. I’ll just have to live with it like this for now.
